Sharryn O’Brien is a pencil artist, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art, has had previous experience in the presentation and graphic design industries, and resides in Melbourne, Australia.

Her work is predominately fine realistic pencil work, often with a touch of whimsy. Her extremely detailed drawing technique brings animals to life on paper with heart-warming depth and character. Completing numerous commissioned works for clients here in Australia, some of her artwork has also found its way to England and Canada. A collaboration with Hallmark Cards has culminated in a beautiful Christmas card collection of cute Australian animals for 2022.

Her latest drawings display animals in playful narratives, as she creates beautiful images for print on luxury Australian made products under her business name, SOBA Collections. Products such as greeting cards, giclée prints, calendars, homewares and stationery.

Her future goals are to work with selected groups to enhance the lives of animals, continue to produce proudly Australian made quality products, and put a little bit of joy into people’s daily lives - all through the practice of her uniquely beautiful artwork.
